Miles Fujimoto / Graphic Designer

Hi! I’m Miles, a Tucson-based graphic designer. I have experience in branding and identity, UI and web design, typography, illustration, animation and photography.

I am passionate about clean and expressive design. I strive to produce functional and accessible design that presents a dense topic in a simple and refined way. I apply these principles in all my work, whether it is a postcard, a magazine, an infographic or a full website.

I have worked at the University of Arizona, my alma mater, since 2017. As the graphic designer with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences’s marketing and communication team, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects big and small. My greatest accomplishment during my time at UA has been the work I completed with the annual Downtown Lecture Series; for two years I have designed all marketing materials — social media and bus advertisements, posters, billboards — as well as lecturers’ presentations and night-of marketing materials.

My role on the UA College of Social and Behavioral Sciences’s marketing team extends further to encompass the roles of creative and art direction. I am able to give creative feedback, direct other designers and peers through projects, present creative briefings and final projects to internal and external stakeholders, as well as collaborate with copy writers, photographers and videographers on or outside of our team.

Outside of my time working at UA, I pursue design opportunities with small businesses, like Now or Never Shop in Tucson, Ariz., and other inspired creators, such as eevee music. I find joy in mountain biking, skateboarding, practicing film photography and other visual arts.

I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design/3D and Extended Media at the University of Arizona College of Fine Arts, along with a minor in Astronomy. My background in astronomy and other sciences has taught me to process information logically and view a subject from a unique perspective.
